Creative STEPS was established in 2007, to provide a multidisciplinary specialised service for people with an Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and others that may have difficulties with:

Speech and Language attainment,

Intellectual and Educational achievement,

Behavioural management,

Social and Emotional regulation.

Our purpose is to provide access to innovative and effective services that assist with development, so that individuals may socially and emotionally understand their environment in which they live. The intervention that we implement encourages individuals of all abilities to function comfortably, confidently and successfully, which consequently develops their self-esteem. The practitioners at Creative STEPS are a team of motivated, high performing specialists who are committed to supporting individuals and their families with disability. As multidisciplinary professionals, we bring a range of experience and knowledge to tackle the subject of autism. Creative STEPS strives for excellence in service delivery. Our programmes are unique in that they do not use a single theoretical basis, but use a combination of these (such as developmental, behavioural and educational constructs) to target the core deficits of ASD. Our techniques are based on the latest research and supported by empirical evidence to be effective. We promote and encourage learning through various modalities, individual interests and community participation and inclusion. Our company name, "Creative STEPS," depicts the approach of using visual arts, music and movement to deliver a programme that will enhance and embrace individual personalities whilst improving upon the participant's capability to monitor and control their own anxiety - See "About Our Groups" for more information.
